‘I Want You Back’: Charlie Day and Jenny Slate to star in new Amazon romantic comedy

According to Collider, Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, Gina Rodriguez and Scott Eastwood will star in Amazon’s new romantic comedy, “I Want You Back.”

Jason Orley (“Big Time Adolescence“) enters as director.

The story centers on Emma (Slate) and Peter (Day), who believed they were on the precipice of one of the greatest moments of their lives – marriage, kids, and suburban homes – until their partners respective let go. Not only that, but they didn’t progress either. Without any prospect and under threat of dying alone, Emma and Peter come up with a desperate plan to end their ex-boyfriends’ relationship and win them back.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, responsible for the hit “This Is Us”, sign the screenplay and enter as producers.

Manny Jacinto, Clark Backo, Jami Gertz, Jordan Carlos, Midori Francis, Mason Gooding, Isabel May and Luke David Blumm complete the cast.

Filming is scheduled to begin next month in Atlanta, Georgia.
