‘In With the Devil’: Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser to star in new Apple crime series

According to Deadline, Taron Egerton (“Rocketman“) and Paul Walter Hauser (“The Richard Jewell Case”) will star in the new Apple TV + crime series, titled “In With the Devil.”

Michaël Roskam (‘Bullhead’) will be in charge of the directing, while Dennis Lehane (‘Mystic River‘) signs the script. The two worked together on the movie “The Delivery“, with Tom Hardy.

The miniseries will consist of six episodes and is based on the non-fiction novel ‘In With the Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and a Dangerous Bargain for Redemption’, signed by James Keene and Hillel Levin and published in 2010. The book chronicles how Keene was offered to leave prison in exchange for persuading his cellmate, suspected of being a serial killer, to confess to the crimes.

The show will examine the close relationship between the two prisoners, as well as the limits people will reach in achieving redemption – and whether true absolution really exists.

Egerton will be Kenne, while Hauser is in negotiations to play the suspicious murderer.
