Later that afternoon, it was confirmed that James Gunn would return to DC as soon as he completed “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” for Disney.

The information was revealed by Walter Hamada, an executive at Warner Bros.

Ever since Gunn signed the screenplay and directed “The Suicide Squad,” the studio has wanted him to revitalize the Superman franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros proposed directing a new Man of Steel movie to Gunn, who even considered a project involving Krypto – the hero’s dog – but ultimately chose to work with “The Suicidal Squad.”

However, it’s unthinkable that Warner would want one of his main franchises in the hands of the talented director.

It should be remembered that “O Squadron Suicida” is 100% endorsed by Rotten Tomatoes.
