One of the most confusing scenes from “ Batman vs. Superman ” is when Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is confronted with Batman (Ben Affleck) in prison and tells a riddle:

“The bell has already rung. And they heard. There, in the darkness, among the stars. Ding dong… The god is dead. There is no turning back because he is hungry and has already found us. It happens… Ding, ding, ding ”.

Obviously he was referring to Superman’s death and the arrival of Darkseid (Ray Porter), but how did Lex know about the arrival of the big bad?

The special edition of the feature film shows that before being arrested, Lex was inside a Kryptonian ship having a sort of vision in which the Steppe Wolf (Ciarán Hinds) was in possession of the mother boxes.

The scene clearly shows that Lex has been in contact with Apokolips beings since he found this piece of Kryptonite. Perhaps he was chosen as an emissary because of his extreme intelligence.

That’s why he was so determined to create the Apocalypse and destroy Superman, to leave the Earth unprotected…

But what does the Snyder Cut trailer have to do with it?

At first, the video shows Superman screaming after being stabbed in the chest by Apocalypse. However, the scene focuses on showing her scream ringing like a bell ringing across the city, planet, and universe…

Shortly afterwards, random scenes are shown, until Darkseid is finally introduced, linking Superman’s death to the upcoming invasion of the inhabitants of Apokolips.

While the 2017 “ Justice League ” simply ignored that phrase and Lex’s presence, many fans were left confused by the quote.

However, the trailer proves that Zack Snyder had it all figured out before Joss Whedon took charge of the adaptation.

Recalling that Snyder had previously confirmed to Collider that Superman’s death not only drew Darkseid’s forces, but also awakened the three remaining maternity boxes on Earth, which ended up attracting the Steppe Wolf after losing the first battle against humans, Atlanteans and Amazonas.

So, are you eager to discover the surprises of the film?

Keep in mind that the new version of ‘Justice League‘ will run for 4 hours and will be available on HBO Max on March 18.

In Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’, determined to ensure that Superman’s (Henry Cavill) final sacrifice is not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) teams up with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with the intention of recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world in the face of an impending threat of catastrophic proportions. The task is more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face off against demons from their own past to transcend what stood in their way, allowing them to unite and ultimately form an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their terrible intentions. “.
