Loki (Tom Hiddleston) rose from villain to antihero during his long career with the MCU and is considered one of the most beloved characters among fans.
But why are the public so fascinated with the god of cheating?
During an interview with Empire, Hiddleston, who has played the character since 2011, was asked the same question.
In response, he said that:
“Loki is a charismatic and very human character, maybe people can relate to him because he is not perfect, but he is very sincere.”
“Loki’s arc in ‘Thor’ is very moving, and he’s humanized it from the start. He’s this guy who really loves his brother, but who is jealous of his position because he feels inferior all his life, because he feels he hasn’t been loved so much by his adoptive parents. So he turns to his origin [como herdeiro dos gigante de gelo]. “
Finally, he said that people feel more pity than love for him.
“Loki’s transformation into an antagonist comes from the vulnerability and pain within him. Even as the villain at the end of “Thor,” people are moved by his fate, full of loneliness, bitterness, sadness, and confusion. Someone pitiful.
Recalling that Hiddleston will return to bring the villain to life in his own series, which is set to debut June 11 on Disney +.

The plot directed by Kate Herron will accompany Loki’s adventures in 2012.
He will always seek revenge for his relationship with his father, who put Brother Thor first, and alter every event we’ve seen in the movies, causing serious damage to his journey and creating a dark and obscure timeline.
Hiddleston has revealed his enthusiasm for taking on new adventures as a beloved anti-hero and exploring his many faces on the show.
“It’s a constant source of surprise and pleasure that these films relate to people. I knew it [Loki] it was a complex figure. Smart and witty, but vulnerable, angry, lost and broken. I thought it was an amazing opportunity to mature over the movies.
