The new horror series ‘LOVE: Lisey’s Story’, adapted from the eponymous novel by author Stephen King, debuted on the Apple TV + streaming platform, but it seems to have joined the long list of lukewarm tales of the master of horror. .
On Rotten Tomatoes, production got 45% approval, scoring 6.03 / 10 based on 44 reviews. According to the general consensus, “Despite Julianne Moore’s admirable performance, ‘LOVE: Lisey’s Story’ is slowed down by over-reliance on original material and troubled rhythm.”

Two years after her husband’s death, Lisey Landon decides it’s time to get to her office and start cleaning up all the paperwork. Scott Landon was a successful novelist and Lisey has been contacted by people interested in purchasing his unreleased work, but she is determined not to let that happen. As the cleaning process begins, a strange man contacts her and tells her that if she doesn’t return the papers, Lisey will suffer the consequences.

The episodes are directed by Pablo Larraín, who also signs the screenplay alongside King. JJ Abrams takes on the role of producer via Bad Robot.
