Margot Robbie Returns To Talk About Harley Quinn and Hera Poisonous’ Lesbian Relationship In DCEU Future

Even though Margot Robbie wants to take a break from playing Harley Quinn after ‘The Suicide Squad’, the star is already thinking about the next antihero film.

In an interview with Comic Book, the star once again said he wanted to see an adaptation showing Harley’s romantic relationship and the Age of Poison.

“Some journalists have asked me about this before, but I like that others are as excited as I am about this idea. I would love to see their relationship come to life in the movies.

The star had previously spoken to Den of Geek about it before and was pretty clear, saying Warner executives must have been running out of patience to hear him suggest the idea.

“If you read the comics you know that Hera and Harley have a very close relationship. I talk to them about it [os executivos] All the time. Seriously, they must be tired of hearing it by now, but I keep saying, “Poison Hera, Poison Hera. Come on, we gotta do this.

Villain romance is nothing new, as it was covered a number of times in the original material, including the latest Harley animation, which is currently airing on HBO Max.

Because of this, Robbie can’t wait to see this relationship in the movies.

“I can’t wait to see Harley and Poison Ivy’s relationship in the movies. It would be so much fun. So I’m going to keep harassing them. Don’t worry,” she finished.

For those who don’t know, the characters first met in 1993 in ‘Batman: The Animated Series’, in an episode titled ‘Harley & Ivy’.

In the comics, the duo’s romantic relationship was explored in the ‘Batman: Harley & Ivy’ saga, created by Ty Templeton and Paul Dini between 2007 and 2011.

Last year, ‘Birds of Prey’ director Cathy Yan previously told The Wrap that she was interested in exploring this relationship in a possible sequel.

“I would love to bring Poison Ivy to the screen and invest in a relationship between her and Harley Quinn, because it would be completely difficult and shocking to see two strong characters take the lead in a new franchise,” the filmmaker said.

When asked if she still hopes to make the sequel, Cathy looked confident.

“I don’t know, but I don’t think people are ready to say goodbye to Harley Quinn. I also think that Margot [Robbie] You still have a lot of energy to play it for a few more years, so… who knows. Hope we can do it.

Meanwhile, it’s worth remembering that “The Suicide Squad” hits nationwide theaters on August 5, the day before the US premiere.
