‘Matrix 4’: Neil Patrick Harris reveals the shoot was quite “intimate”

In a recent appearance on the Variety magazine podcast, star Neil Patrick Harris shared his experience on the set of the upcoming ‘Matrix 4‘, which will hit theaters soon and HBO Max.

Harris revealed that shooting the film often felt like a personal short film, which is the exact opposite of what we would expect for a sequel to the hit saga.

“It didn’t look big, because it looked like [a diretora e roteirista Lana Wachowski] he was in his place of comfort, using natural light and other things. Sometimes you would sit there for an hour, waiting for the clouds to clear, and then we would go fast. You turned the pages and the pages of the film in 30 minutes and then it was over… You had to expect that a giant film would be 100% storyboarded and that the framing would be checked. I think she’s been through this three times before, and I suspect that she would like to do it on her own. It was not common to think that we were doing something big, because it made it intimate ”.

The film will be released in national theaters on December 23, 2021.

Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss return as Neo and Trinity, respectively. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Eréndira Ibarra, Andrew Caldwell, Brian J. Smith and Ellen Hollman complete the cast.

The Matrix 4, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster sci-fi action trilogy that redefined cinema, is finally set to hit theaters (and HBO Max) later this year. Co-written and directed by franchise co-creator Lana Wachowski, this new installment features the auspicious return of the original Matrix led Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, despite both their characters having died emphatically at the end of The Matrix Revolutions. He also has an impressive cast of actors who are totally new to the Matrix universe, including Neil Patrick Harris, who recently shared some of his experiences working on the new film.

“Matrix” was released in 1999 and acclaimed around the world for its innovative visual effects. The original won four Oscars and grossed $ 463 million worldwide.

Two sequels followed, “Matrix: Reloaded” and “Matrix: Revolutions“, both theatrically released in 2003.
