A box office failure upon release, the horror comedy ‘Infernal Girl’ has gradually regained audiences, with many claiming that – in the past – the film has been wrongly analyzed from a sexist and misogynistic angle.

And in a recent interview with The Washington Post, actress Megan Fox shared her interest in seeing the film’s universe expand with the production of a TV series.

“I don’t think it’s a difficult film to produce. I mean, they should make it into a TV series. That would be cool”.

The actress also reflected on receiving the feature film in 2009, noting that it is actually a piece of art that had not been noticed at the time of its release:

“’Infernal Girl’ is iconic and I love this production. This movie is art, but when it came out. nobody said that.

In the plot, while she is possessed by a demon, the student Jennifer decides to take revenge on the guys who never gave her a chance. As she satisfies her schoolchildren’s appetite for human flesh, her nerdy friend Needy tries to figure out what’s going on and promises to end the carnage.

Released in 2009, the feature film had a small budget of US $ 16 million, grossing just over US $ 31 million in theaters.

Karyn Kusama directs, based on a screenplay written by Diablo Cody.
