‘Metal Lords’: Jaeden Martell to star in new Netflix comedy from ‘Game of Thrones’ creators

The first Netflix film directed by the creators of “Game of Thrones“, David Benioff and DB Weiss, takes shape and sees its cast of protagonists confirmed. The film, titled “Metal Lords”, will be a coming-of-age comedy starring Jaeden Martell (“Between Knives and Secrets“), Isis Hainsworth (“Emma”) and new actor Adrian Greensmith.

The production will be directed by Peter Sollett (“Nick & Norah – A Night of Love and Music”), based on a screenplay signed by Weiss.

The plot follows two teenagers who want to start a heavy metal band at school.

In addition to scriptwriting, Weiss takes on the role of producer, alongside Greg Shapiro. Benioff will be the executive producer of the project, in partnership with Bernie Caulfield and Robin Fisichella.

Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine will be the executive music producer.

‘Metal Lords’ does not have a release date yet.
