According to Deadline, director Paul WS Anderson (‘Resident Evil‘) is directing a film adaptation of ‘In the Lost Lands’, an acclaimed fantasy tale written by George RR Martin (‘Game of Thrones’).
The project is one of the few related to Martin that has not been acquired by HBO, responsible for the series “GoT” and the upcoming spin-off “House of the Dragon“.
In the plot, a queen desperate to obtain the gift of transformation makes a bold decision by summoning the dreaded and powerful witch Gray Alys to help her fulfill her desire.
Sent to the ghostly jungle of the Lost Lands, Alys and her guide, the wanderer Boyce, must defeat men and demons in a fable that explores the nature of good and evil, debt and accomplishment, and love and the loss.
So far the cast has Milla Jovovich (‘Monster Hunter‘), Anderson’s wife and Dave Bautista (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’).
Jovovich will be Gray Alis, while Bautista will be Boyce.
The trio are also behind the production, alongside Jeremy Bolt, Jonathan Meisner and Constantin Werner.
As of yet, there is still no premiere date.
