Sony Pictures recently announced that ‘Morbius’, a spin-off from the arachnid universe of ‘Spider-Man’, has been delayed for the sixth time and will not hit theaters until April 1.

After becoming the butt of public jokes – in addition to angry comments from fans of the character – the feature prompted another film to become a trending topic again on Twitter: “Os Novos Mutantes”.

The reason? Well, for those who don’t remember, the film starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Maisie Williams has also taken a similar path and has been postponed five times (originally slated to premiere in 2018 and in theaters two more. late).

It didn’t take long for internet users to draw parallels between the two projects and create the funniest memes on social media.

This film managed to be postponed longer than Novos Mutantes.

Morbius’ postponement was due to the Covid variant, unfortunately it could be another year affected by the disease. pic.twitter.com/Gn235iIEg1

Recently, the Cinemark Network confirmed that “Morbius” will run for 108 minutes (1 hour and 48 minutes), making it Sony’s second shortest film, behind “Venom: Carnage Time” (1 hour and 37 minutes).

Additionally, “Morbius” will be rated 13+ due to “intense violence footage, spooky imagery, and inappropriate language”.
