Morena Baccarin to star in new NBC bank heist series

According to Deadline, Morena Baccarin (“Deadpool”) will star in the new bank robbery series developed by NBC.

Ryan Michelle Bathe (“All Rise”) will also star in the production.

Baccarin will play Elena Federova, a crime genius who coordinates a series of bank robberies in New York. Bathe will play Val Fitzgerald, an FBI agent determined to arrest him. The series will show how far some people go for love, justice and the world’s most precious commodity: the truth.

The script for the pilot episode will be written by Nick Wootton, who will also be executive producer alongside Jake Coburn (“Quantico”) and Julie Plec (“The Vampire Diaries”).

Justin Lin, a veteran of the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise, will be responsible for directing.

Remember that the series, still without a defined title, has not yet received the green light from the broadcaster. For now, only the pilot will be filmed, and later the channel will decide to order a full season for production.
