The ‘Mortal Kombat’ reboot debuted April 15 in national theaters, and the comic had a chance to chat with producer Todd Garner about some of the feature’s curiosities.

The filmmaker told the portal that one of the hardest parts of the production is finding the perfect cast without distorting each of the characters.

“The game is amazing and has a compelling lineup of characters, we’ve made a point of incorporating actors who convey the essence of those characters.”

He went on to explain that he was lucky to find actors who were good at both theater and combat:

“It was one of the most important and difficult parts because we didn’t have to be faithful just visually, but behaviorally and culturally, in addition to analyzing how the stars would fare in intersecting performances with combat choreographies. They couldn’t be good at one or the other, but both. We were very lucky that everyone we were looking for accepted this challenge.

One of the stars who received a lot of praise from Garner was Ludi Lin, performer of iconic Liu Kang.

“Ludi is a charismatic and athletic guy and is always looking for new challenges. And he’s like Liu Kang, isn’t he? Garner joked. “It’s amazing how he has a spirit of leadership and motivation, he puts everyone at ease during the stages and has managed to be an inspiring figure for the rest of the cast.”

Previously, he had also spared no praise for actor Josh Lawson, the Kano performer, saying the actor and his energy were perfect for the role.

Enjoy watching:

“[Josh Lawson, que interpreta o Kano,] it’s incredible. He’s like a dog without a collar. We said to ourselves: “Go ahead, say what you want”. And he says some crazy things in the movie. He’s crazy and he’s the perfect guy for the role, because he doesn’t care. And Kano is known for it. It was amazing to have her in the movie and Jess [NcNamee] it’s also amazing. They had never done this kind of thing before.

He adds, “It’s like playing with Michael Jordan. It raises the bar for everyone. “

It’s worth remembering that the ‘Mortal Kombat’ trailer broke a view record for a Red Band (adult) trailer.

The video reached 116 million views in its first week, making it the biggest audience for a trailer of the greatest of all time, surpassing the trailer marks of “Logan” and ” Deadpool 2 ”.

The trailer for the film directed by Simon McQuoid was a trending topic in 52 markets on YouTube and 28 markets on Twitter.

The video still had 98% audience approval.

On his official Twitter, star Ludi Lin posted a new video in which the cast of the ‘Mortal Kombat’ protagonist reacts to the recent first trailer.
