Despite the skyrocketing box office numbers (even more given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic), the vaunted “007 – No Time to Die” did not make a profit for the studio. On the contrary, it was a loss!

According to a recent Variety poll, the production will lose more than $ 150 million to MGM and EON Productions, the companies responsible for the feature film.

This is due to both the project’s budget, estimated at $ 250 million, and the plentiful promotional material, which has also surpassed the $ 100 million mark due to constant delays (16 months, to be precise).

Reports indicate that in order for the studios not to suffer a loss, the financial income would need to be over $ 900 million.

However, “No Time to Die” ended its trip to theaters with “only” $ 734 million.
