Naomi: Power actress joins Ava DuVernay’s new series

According to ComicBook.com, the long-awaited Ava DuVernay series for The CW, “Naomi,” has found its protagonist.

Reports indicate that Kaci Walfall (“Power“) will bring the titular superhero to life. Additionally, Alexander Wraith, Cranston Johnson and Camila Moreno also joined the cast.

Wraith will be Dee, a tattoo parlor owner and someone who knows more than he should about the massive events that left the city in chaos. Johnson will be Zumbado, a mysterious owner of a used parking lot who arouses suspicion in Naomi. Moreno, for her part, will be Lourdes, a young woman with a sarcastic sense of humor who works in a collectibles store and has a crush on the main character.

DuVernay (“New Gods“, “Eyes that Condemn”) is in charge of production alongside screenwriter Jill Blankenship, also an executive producer.

For those who don’t know, the original comic was written by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker and Jamal Campbell, and accompanies a young alien who comes to our Earth to protect her from a genocide that destroyed her world. native.
