According to TVLine, the new spin-off of the “NCIS” franchise, titled “NCIS: Hawaii”, will have the first female protagonist in production history.

The character will allegedly be called Jane Tennant and will also serve as the first special agent leading an NCIS team.

Don’t forget that Mark Harmon stars in “NCIS“, Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J in “NCIS: Los Angeles” and Scott Bakula in “NCIS: New Orleans”.

The franchise production that came closest to having a female protagonist was ‘NCIS: Red’, which brought in Kim Raver and John Corbett as co-protagonists.

However, the series has yet to receive the green light from CBS.

Currently, production is in the casting phase, including protagonist Jane Tennant.

New information should be published soon.
