Netflix to create official ‘random titles’ feature later this year

Since the end of last year, Netflix has been testing the acceptance of the “ random titles ” button among subscribers.

The feature was created primarily for users who spend more time choosing a movie or series than watching the varieties in the catalog.

This way, when you click the button, the algorithms will choose a random title based on the genres you follow most often.

And, according to Variety, the feature will officially be integrated into the platform in the first half of 2021.

Now the big question is what Netflix will name the feature.

In a statement, the platform’s co-chair, Reed Hastings, joked that they could call the “ I feel lucky ” button, in honor of Google’s search function that goes straight to main search results.

But of course it was a joke.

“Random titles aren’t the official name, how about ‘am I lucky?’ He joked. “Don’t! Let’s invent something better than that, so wait. You’ll see it when it’s released.”

In the meantime, it should be remembered that in February, more than 40 productions will be launched in the catalog of the platform.

For the more nostalgic fans, we will have the return of “Back to the Future” and “Scarface”.

Already lovers of the Twilight saga can party, since all the films of the franchise will arrive on the schedule in February.
