New “Matrix Resurrections” Video Shows Neo Recalling Laurence Fishburne and Morpheus Past

Warner Bros. released an unreleased clip of ‘The Matrix Resurrections’, featuring a Neo (Keanu Reeves) totally oblivious to the illusion he’s living in.

The scene shows Bugs (Jessica Hewnick) leading Neo into the Matrix, which is clearly more influenced by modern times, as videophones prevent those connected to the Matrix from realizing the truth, let alone landlines have become obsolete.

The preview also shows that they don’t need to run to phone booths and use landlines to get in and out of the Matrix, as they can teleport great distances using portals.

Bugs also explains that after going through a portal they are now in Tokyo, marking the first time that a specific location was mentioned inside the Matrix (previously, the Great Matrix City was simply known as from the city).

Previously, Reeves told Entertainment Weekly that “Matrix Resurrections” would focus on the romance of Neo and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss).

“When [a diretora Lana Wachowski] came over to talk to me, she talked about having a story to tell that revolved around Neo and Trinity, and that struck me as very moving. Neo gets a second chance in his life, and he gets a second chance with the person he says is “the only person I have ever loved”. The depth of why this movie was made is the feeling of being a love story between Trinity and Neo. “, did he declare.

Actor Jonathan Groff revealed he was moved when he read the script.

“When I read the script for this movie, I cried because the thought of watching these two iconic actors in these two iconic parts come back and fight for their love to come back to me destroys me,” he said. he declares.

According to Steven Weintraub, editor-in-chief of Collider, the first reactions from critics on social media will be published from December 16 at 10:30 p.m. GMT.

Warner Bros. seems pretty confident in the film’s success with critics, as the embargo falls a week before the premiere.

Set to premiere on December 22 in national theaters, ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ is the continuation of the story from the first MATRIX film.

In the plot, Reeves and Moss return as Neo & Trinity cinematic icons in an expansion of their story that ventures into the Matrix and deeper into the Rabbit Hole.

A mind-boggling new adventure with action and epic scale, set in a familiar but even more provocative world where reality is more subjective than ever and all it takes to see the truth is to clear your mind .

20 years after the first film, the franchise that helped define pop culture at the turn of the century is back in the continuity and extension of the original film. Matrix remains in tune with the times like a film that has changed our outlook on cinema and reality itself. With its groundbreaking action and visuals, The Matrix helped pave the way for films to come.
