‘Paranormal Activity’ franchise reboot hires ‘Deep Threat’ director

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the reboot of the “Paranormal Activity” franchise has finally hired its director.

William Eubank, of “Deep Threat” and “The Sign”, was chosen to direct the production.

The new film is described as an “unexpected rephrasing” of the premise.

Paramount Pictures has scheduled the release of the new feature – still without a defined title – for March 4, 2022.

Director Christopher Landon writes the script for the reboot:

“I’m writing the new paranormal activity. We are restarting the franchise. I am super excited for the director we have chosen. It’s a guy. He is incredible! Landon told Dread Central.

Landon directed “Paranormal Activity: Marked by Evil” and was responsible for the scripts for the 2nd and 5th films in the franchise.
