‘Percy Jackson’: Logan Lerman would return as Poseidon in the Disney + series

The “ Percy Jackson ” book saga will win a series reboot for Disney + in 2021, and Logan Lerman has already made it clear that he would like to return as a different character.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lerman – who played Percy Jackson in the movies – spoke about the reboot:

“Honestly, I’m amazed by this and honored that people are still talking about the Percy Jackson saga. Yes I heard. Of course, I read about it. I’m stuck at home with my cell phone so of course I read about it, ”the actor said.

Asked about the role of Poseidon and if he would accept the offer to live it on the show, he said:

“Yes, potentially, it depends. It is now too early to know. Usually, with a big project, it starts with an ad like this. Then they announced the development of the series and I wonder when they will be ready to develop it. They have to approve the scripts, budget them and choose the cast. You have to do it all. So it can take a long time, you know. I’m curious if there would be an interesting role for me or something. I would definitely consider that ”.

The series will be called “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), following the original title of the book saga.

In total, the saga written by Rick Riordan contains five books: “The Lightning Thief”, “Sea of Monsters”, “The Curse of the Titan”, “The Battle of the Labyrinth” and “The Last Olympian”.

The plot revolves around Percy, a teenager who discovers he is the son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas, and is then sent to Camp Half-Blood to find other half-breeds. There, Percy meets his friend and mentor Grover Underwood, a teenage satyr, and meets Annabeth Chase, Athena’s daughter.

Chris Columbus directed the film adaptation of the first volume, “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief,” which starred Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson and Jake Abel.

Despite mixed reviews, the film grossed nearly $ 227 million worldwide, on a budget of $ 95 million.

In 2013, “Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters” earned just $ 199 million and received heavy criticism for the narrative, which strayed too far from the original novel.
