Directed by Hall and Carlos López Estrada, the film is Disney’s 59th animation and its first fantasy adventure inspired by the cultures of Southeast Asia.

Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the earth, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
