‘Roar’: Nicole Kidman and Cynthia Erivo to star in new Apple anthology series

According to Deadline, Apple TV + has given the green light to the new anthology series “ Roar, ” starring Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Wever and Alison Brie.

Production is handled by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch under an agreement with the streaming service. The duo are known for the acclaimed comedy “GLOW“.

‘Roar’, in development since 2018, is based on the novel by Cecelia Ahern.

The series will consist of eight half-hour episodes, each counted from a woman’s perspective.

Flahive and Mensch join as creators and showrunners on the project, in addition to producing alongside Kidman, Per Saari, Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky and Allie Goss.
