‘Round 6’: Season 2 of the series is CONFIRMED!

The creator of “Round 6”, Hwang Dong-hyuk, has CONFIRMED that he will be making the 2nd season of the Netflix phenomenon series.

“There was so much pressure, so much demand and affection from the fans asking for a second season. So I felt like I had no choice, “he joked.” So yes, today I come to confirm that there will really be a second season. It’s in my head right now. We are currently developing it, but it is too early to say what it will be. But the new episodes will follow the adventures of Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, ”said Dong-hyuk.

Previously, Dong-hyuk told Variety that he hoped to bring in other filmmakers during the construction of Season 2.

“We’re going to have a team of writers and I would like to bring in a lot of experienced directors.”

He revealed that he already has an idea for new episodes.

“My idea is also to tell the story of the mysterious Front Man, who is responsible for the management of the whole game,” he said.

For those who haven’t watched “Round 6”, the plot shows a group of people with millionaire debts looking for a prize that will change their lives if they participate in a mysterious game divided into six stages.

Throughout the tasks, 456 participants from all walks of life are locked in a secret place where they play to win 45.6 billion won.

Each game is a traditional Korean children’s game, but the consequence of loss is death. Who will be the winner and what is the goal of this game?
