‘Santa Clarita Diet’: creator still hopes to ‘finalize’ plot in possible fourth season

In an interview with LADBible, ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ series creator Victor Fresco said he still wished he had the opportunity to complete the production’s plot, which was unexpectedly canceled by Netflix after three seasons.

“I think we would all like to come back for a new season, if everything is available. On an emotional level, everyone in the production would like to give the story some sort of conclusion.

He adds: “There are several petitions online; thousands of people have already signed up. I felt bad because my job as a screenwriter is to get viewers interested in the story. We did that and then we took out their mat. It was very difficult to deal with.

Sadly, the series ended with dramatic cliffhangers for a possible fourth season, leaving viewers unanswered.

Would you like the production to return to give the plot a conclusion?

Like most streaming services today, Netflix has kept audiences for its shows under wraps, but that must be the reason for the unexpected cancellation. The series received positive reviews, gaining an 89% stake in Rotten Tomatoes. The audience score wasn’t far either, with 87% approval.

All three seasons are available on the platform.
