SHOCKING! Kevin Williamson reveals his original idea for ‘Panic 3’ ending

Many fans and critics consider “ Panic 3 ” the worst movie in the franchise, which only earned it 39% approval on Rotten Tomatoes.

As it turns out, the blame may have been on screenwriter Ehren Kruger, who was unfamiliar with the subject after taking over from Kevin Williamson.

During an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Williamson said he did not return to the franchise as he was busy developing the series based on the game ‘Wasteland’.

Asked what he would have planned for the sequel, the filmmaker replied:

“In the draft I was developing for ‘Panic 3’, the Killers were basically a fan club for the teens in Woodsboro who came together because of the ‘The Stab’ movies. The big surprise would come when Sidney walked into a house after Ghostface killed everyone who was there … and they all stood up because it was just a game planned by the kids.

He continued:

“The boys were planning all of this to gain fame, because they wanted to be the stars of Woodsbro, but they didn’t expect it to traumatize Sidney even more. I ended up using part of this idea in ‘Panic 4’ and [na série] ‘What follows’. “

So, do you think the story would be successful or do you prefer the official version of “Panic 3”?

Williamson returns as executive producer of “ Panic ” (2022), which will have the return of franchise veterans Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette as Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley.

Jenna Ortega (‘You’) and Melissa Barrera (‘Life’) star in the new movie.

The first film in the franchise debuted in 1996 and became an instant, groundbreaking classic that mixed elements of slasher terror with cinematic metalanguage. Directed by Wes Craven and scripted by Kevin Williamson, the plot focused on a masked serial killer known as Ghostface, who used slogans and creepy knowledge of genre productions to pursue his victims.

Together, the four iterations have raised more than $ 608 million at the global box office.

After the release of “ Panic 4 ” in 2011 and with the death of Craven, MTV decided to produce a serial reboot of the saga, reinventing the iconic Ghostface character for small screens in 2015.
