‘Silk’: Casting Call reveals details of lead role in upcoming TV series

According to The Illuminerdi, Amazon Prime and Sony Pictures have released a casting call revealing some details about the lead role in ‘Silk’.

For those who don’t know, the series is an adaptation of the eponymous Marvel character.

Cindy Moon’s alter ego, Silk was bitten by the same spider that turned Peter Parker into Webhead.

Casting call says studios are looking for a young woman between 19 and 29 to bring the protagonist to life, described as “an indomitable spirit who can’t help but take care of others, she’s smart, sure of herself , funny and tries to please everyone around him because of his extreme empathy.

Previously, the talk movie revealed that filming was set to begin in August of this year, with an expected end between January and February 2022.

Sang Kyu Kim, known for his work on such works as “The Walking Dead” and “The Legacy of Jupiter”, will be the showrunner of the project, as well as the executive producer.

Despite being a newcomer to law enforcement and crime-fighting, Cindy Moon lives alone in Queens after her family’s mysterious disappearance. She uses this sense of isolation and self-protection to let go of frustration, as well as having an affinity for 1980s and 1990s pop culture. Phil Lord and Chris Miller (“Spider-Man in the Spiderverse”) oversee the series and have reportedly met actress Adeline Rudolph (“Riverdale”, “The Dark World of Sabrina”).

Lauren Moon (“Atypical”) was in talks to write the adaptation, but left the project.

As of yet, there is no confirmed release date.
