‘Sing – Who Sings their Males Stuns 2’: Bono, Halsey and Pharrell Williams join the cast

The sequence of the animation ‘SING – Who Sings Your Evil Espanta’ (SING) is taking shape and will count on the participation of renowned stars of the music scene.

The production, which is owned by Illumination Animation, will bring together great artists like Bono Vox, Halsey and even Pharrell Williams among the new voice actors. In addition, acclaimed actor Bobby Cannavale is also the latest addition to the plot.

In “SING 2”, Bono will bring to life a lion named Clay Calloway, a reclusive rock legend that Buster (McConaughey) and his band of singers are trying to recruit for their latest show.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the award-winning musician commented on his first job as a voice actor in Hollywood, praising the director:

“Garth Jennings is a great storyteller for any age you face. A brave man who truly chooses to work with children and animals! I saw The Son of Rambow for the first time before it was released at Sundance and immediately became a fan of it. The first Sing was a great pleasure. I had unforgettable experiences watching these events ”.

In the plot, Bobby Cannavale will voice the ruthless wolf mogul Jimmy Crystal, while Halsey lends his voice to the character’s daughter, called Porsche.

Pharrell Williams plays the sweet owner of the ice cream truck, an elephant named Alfonso.

Letitia Wright, Eric Andre and Chelsea Peretti are also the new additions to the cast, in roles not yet specified.

Initially scheduled for December 25, 2020, the animation was postponed to July 2, 2021 and will not hit theaters until December 22, 2021.

In addition to “ Sing 2, ” Universal Pictures also announced the postponement of “ Minions 2, ” which now opens on July 2, 2021, exactly one year after its original date.

Set in a world entirely inhabited by animals, ‘SING – Who Sings Your Evil Espanta’ has strong contenders in the fight for the 100,000 dollar prize: a rat, a shy elephant with a huge stage panic, a mother overworked who takes care of a litter of 25 piglets, a gorilla gangster and a porcupine female who loves punk rock.

Sandy, Wanessa Camargo, Fiuk, Mariana Ximenes and Marcelo Serrado lent their voices to the characters Meena, Ash, Johnny, Rosita and Gunter.

The comedy is directed by Garth Jennings and produced by Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy. The original vocals are by Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, Jennifer Saunders, Peter Serafinowicz, Leslie Jones, Jay Pharoah, Nick Offerman and Beck Bennett.
