There is less than a week until “Karate Kid” fans witness the reunion between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and villainous Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) in season 4 of “Cobra Kai”.

Speaking of which, the series has already rescued several characters that have appeared in franchise films, expanding that universe even further.

In 2010, Sony attempted to revive the title with a film starring Jaden Smith as Mr. Han, the student of Mr. Miyagi-style mentor Jackie Chan, played by Pat Morita.

With that in mind, many fans are wondering if Chan might make an appearance at some point in ‘Cobra Kai’.

However, Macchio revealed to Jake’s Takes that this possibility is out of the question because:

“Our intention has always been to bring in any character who has interacted with or at least met Mr. Miyagi. We are building a canonical story for the show. Then…”

In addition, the plot of the film with Jackie Chan takes place in China, not the United States. And instead of teaching Karate, which is of Japanese descent, Mr. Han teaches Kung Fu, which is completely different.

Remember that the production has already been renewed for season 5!

COBRA KAI takes place 30 years after the 1984 All Valley tournament, and the inevitable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) continues.

In season three, they are all stunned after the violent brawl between the two dojos at the school, which seriously injured Miguel. As Daniel revisits the past for answers and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his ideas of domination. The soul of the Valley is at stake, as is the fate of all students and senseis.

Besides Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, the cast includes Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser and Jacob Bertrand.
