‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator to direct new Blumhouse horror for Netflix

According to Deadline, ‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator Kurt Sutter will make his dictatorial debut in the horror ‘This Beast’, which is being developed in partnership with Blumhouse and Netflix.

Sutter will also write and produce the feature film, which will be inspired by the Beast of Gévaudan, “a true story about a mysterious beast that terrorized a French village in 1760”.

“An 18th century English village is attacked by a mysterious and indescribable beast. Dozens of innocent people are massacred and chaos is taken over by religious fanaticism. The impossible task of slaying the beast falls on a humble hunter who promises to stop the carnage. But, for him, this hunt is not a professional mission, it is deeply personal.

“Bringing my unsettling sensibility into the world of Blumhouse seemed like something that had to happen,” the filmmaker said. “This project is perfect for this partnership. And Netflix is the perfect place for this bloody encounter ”.

Jason Blum will produce terror through Blumhouse.
