According to Bloody Disgusting, Pablo Larraín, director of the famous “Spencer”, will direct the black vampire comedy “El Conde”, developed by Netflix.
In addition, Larraín will also sign the screenplay alongside Guillermo Calderón.
The plot revolves around Augusto Pinochet, an ancient vampire who, after 250 years in this world, decides to die once and for all, due to illnesses caused by his dishonor and family conflicts.
Jaime Vadell and Gloria Münchmeyer will star in the production. The cast will also include Alfredo Castro and Paula Luchsinger.
About the project, Pablo Larraín said: “We are very happy because Netflix is a place where many directors that I admire have made incredible films. Through this black comedy, we want to observe, understand and analyze the events that have taken place in Chile and in the world over the past 50 years. We are confident that we will do a good job and it will be an amazing trip.
