‘Spider-Man 3’: behind-the-scenes image reveals details of Andrew Garfield’s costume

Andrew Garfield is finally back in his Spider-Man costume in the latest Spider-Man movie, alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire.

Now that the secret has been revealed, a lot of behind-the-scenes news is emerging.

One was revealed by actor Omar Zaki, who replaced Garfield when the star was unable to return to set for two days of reshoots.

On his Instagram profile, Zaki posted several images featuring the hero’s costume and explained that he wasn’t exactly a stunt performer, describing his work in the sequel.

To verify:

“One of the best times of my life. 2 days of reshoots, when I wore this costume in ‘Spider-Man: No Homecoming’.

Enjoy watching:

To be clear, I am NOT a Spider-Man stuntman. First of all, I am extremely grateful for the incredible opportunity (as seen in the videos) and I don’t take it for granted, but I also want to make sure there is no confusion and that I am absolutely clear about my participation in this film.

They needed to re-film a few simple scenes from the movie, but Andrew Garfield wasn’t available and one of the stuntmen (@iwilliamspencer) wasn’t available either. The stunt coordinator called me because I was the same height as Andrew and he thought I would go with the wetsuit (spoilers, he was right). He explained to me that no stunts were needed, just someone who could play the character to act in a scene or do a simple movement.

So I got hired and helped re-film exactly two scenes in two days.

1) Small scene from Dialogue with Benedict, Tom and Tobey (mainly Tom and Benedict talking) where I wasn’t shown on camera (because I’m not Andrew).

2) A small physical scene that was cut from the final cut.

Questions:

Q: Were you a Spider-Man stuntman?
A: No. I mostly acted in a scene from Dialogue, but I wasn’t shown on camera because they were capturing footage of Benedict and Tom and the other little physical actor scene I did was cut off.

Q: Where can I see you in the movie?
A: Nowhere. The little physical scene I shot didn’t make it into the final cut and I was framed during takes to focus on Benedict and Tom talking.

Q: Did you meet and work with the actors?
A: Yes, I was incredibly honored to be by their side and help facilitate their introductions in a simple dialogue scene with Tom, Tobey and Benedict.

Big thanks to @colinfollenweider for the call and a big hello to the real “Spider-Man: No Homecoming” stunts.

Recalling that the film has already grossed an impressive $ 666.5 million in the United States, surpassing the total box office of “Titanic” ($ 659.3 million) in the country.

Currently, the Marvel movie is the 6th biggest hit in US history.

In total, production has already grossed $ 1.4 billion worldwide.

What’s more, “No Homecoming” also represents the BIGGEST box office in Sony Pictures history, beating the gross total of “Spider-Man: Far From Home” ($ 1.13 billion), which previously held the record.

The sequel is still showing in national cinemas.
