“In the same way that ‘The Return of the King’ was a celebration and completion of all the incredible work that went into the trilogy, it is a celebration of both the ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy and the most famous of all. hero movies, ”Feige told The Hollywood Reporter.
Thomas Rothman, Chairman of Sony, added that:

Tom Rothman, Chairman of Sony, explained why he thinks today’s biggest blockbuster could turn out to be a landmark event.
“Cinema is going through a tricky phase and this is a great opportunity to recognize the strength of ‘Spider-Man: No Return Home’, it’s a great opportunity for the Academy. [de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas] see the potential of this film.
Usually blockbusters and box office hits end up being overlooked by the Oscars, and that’s even rarer for an adaptation based on a superhero comic book.

Either way, a Best Picture nomination for “Spider-Man: No Back Home” could be a great way to get more viewers during the awards show.
So, do you think the sequel has a chance?
