Prior to the debut, several leaks revealed the stars’ presence, but nothing had been officially confirmed, and the duo’s absence from the trailers only increased doubts.

Fortunately, Marvel and Sony have listened to fans and invited the stars to reprise their roles in the long-awaited closing title of the trilogy with Tom Holland.

But how is the return of the heroes in the film?

Shortly after the death of Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), injured by a bomb dropped by the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Peter Parker (Tom Holland) decides to be alone while planning his revenge.

Worried, Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya) use Doctor Strange’s stolen ring to open a portal and summon Spider-Man.

In the process, they end up invoking the version of Andrew Garfield, who also broke through the breaches of the Multiverse and found himself in the reality of the MCU.

After showing up to explain the mess, the trio try to locate Peter once more, but they end up summoning Tobey Maguire’s Peter, brought back to reality by the MCU as well as Garfield’s Peter and villains from the previous films.

After a brief and fun confrontation between the two Spiders, the group decides to go find Peter from Holland where he used to think with MJ.

Devastated by the death of his aunt, Peter vows revenge on the goblin, but his alternate versions share his sufferings and losses with him and motivate him to try and cure the villain of his madness instead of killing him.

After the mission is successful, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) manages to send them back to their respective universes.

The coolest part is that the presence of the Spider trio has connected each of the hero’s films over the 20 years it has been adapted for the big screen.

In addition to references to the deaths of Uncle Ben, Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy, the film also explained what happened to the villains of the adaptations after the events of the later films, which was of great curiosity to audiences.

And since he couldn’t miss, the footage even reproduced one of Webhead’s most famous memes, when all three versions point fingers at each other in disbelief at the existence of other Spiders.
