In addition to becoming critical and public success, ‘Spider-Man 3’ has already been shortlisted to compete at the 2022 Oscars in the Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Mix categories.
Despite this, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Sony and Marvel Studios are planning to launch a campaign for the feature to be nominated in major award categories, including Best Picture.
And Twitter user Will Mavity shared the first posters the studios made to promote the campaign.
For those of you who don’t know, Mavity is an expert on film awards and always gives updates on the season of film events on her profile.

To date, the only Marvel movie included in the category is “Black Panther,” directed by Ryan Coogler in 2018.
Tom Rothman, Chairman of Sony, explained why he thinks today’s biggest blockbuster could turn out to be a landmark event.
“Cinema is going through a tricky phase and this is a great opportunity to recognize the strength of ‘Spider-Man: No Return Home’, it’s a great opportunity for the Academy. [de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas] see the potential of this film.
Usually blockbusters and box office hits end up being overlooked by the Oscars, and that’s even rarer for an adaptation based on a superhero comic book.
“Black Panther” and “Joker” were rare exceptions due to their scripts with dramatic elements, which usually grab the attention of the Academy.
Either way, a Best Picture nomination for “Spider-Man: No Back Home” could be a great way to get more viewers during the awards show.

Speaking of Oscar, protagonist Tom Holland also joked that he would win a statuette for his performance in the film.
When asked if he was ready to say goodbye to the character, he replied:
“I know I love this character and I’d be sad to say goodbye to him. But basically I got everything I wanted as Peter Parker, I really think I’ll even win the Oscar for that. film So that’s great.
Recalling that the feature film is still showing in theaters and is climbing at the box office.
