“ Star Trek: Discovery ”: filming of season 4 suspended due to COVID-19

According to The Hollywood Reporter, recordings for the fourth season of “ Star Trek: Discovery ” have been suspended in Canada due to the team’s exposure to COVID-19.

Information indicates that an unidentified person has been in contact with the virus and, therefore, production has been halted until further notice. It should be remembered that Canada is going through the third wave of coronavirus cases, having limited travel within and outside the country.

The new episodes are expected to air in 2021, with no days yet confirmed.

Set ten years before the events of the original series, “Star Trek: Discovery” shows for the first time the beginning of Federation history. With the threat of war on the horizon, First Officer Michael Burnham discovers new worlds, spaceships, and villains on his journey through the universe.

Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Emily Coutts, David Ajala and Michelle Yeoh are the stars.
