Fans of “The Mandalorian” were surprised by Gina Carano’s resignation after posting offensive comments against Jews on her Twitter profile.
Known as a strong supporter of American Republican politics, Carano went so far as to declare that “being a Republican today is like being a Jew in concentration camps during the Nazi Holocaust.”
And now, The Hollywood Reporter has released new behind-the-scenes information on Lucasfilm productions that the actress and veteran will be appearing in.
Aside from not returning for future seasons of “The Mandalorian,” she was also cut from the lead role in an upcoming spinoff series.
A source linked to Disney + told the portal that studio executives did not announce the series on Disney Investor Day due to another controversy, when Carano denied the existence of the coronavirus and called in puppets to wear masks and social isolation.
The source also said studio executives are just waiting for a new slip to send her back.
“They were considering sacking her for about two months because of the terrible image she brought to Disney and Lucasfilm. I think they waited because they didn’t know how the fans were going to react, but it looks like it was the last straw, ”said the source, who declined to be identified.
Before the controversy against the Jews, she was ironic that there were no advocacy campaigns for conservatives like there are for blacks, gays and women.

“Gina Carano is no longer employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her in the future. Your social media posts insulting people because of their cultural and religious identity are disgusting, unacceptable, and not tolerated by our team. ”
Remembering that Cara Dune made her first appearance in the episode “Sanctuary“, in the 1st season, and gained a prominent place in the series, becoming one of the main characters.
The second season of the series is already on display at Disney +.
