After making history by adapting the stories of “Wonder Woman” to the cinema, Patty Jenkins will be the first woman to direct a film in the “Star Wars” saga. Entitled “Rogue Squadron”, the feature film will accompany the missions of the space artillery team featured in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” (1980).

And since Chris Pine has previously collaborated with the filmmaker on both ‘Wonder Woman’ films, it looks like he’s been lucky enough to hear the whole story of the new film.

In an interview with Collider, the star said Jenkins told him everything he was planning and made sure the story was truly amazing.

“I’m not involved in the movie, but I told him about the story and it’s really amazing. I don’t know the details of the characters and everything, but the plot itself is very, very good. I am very excited for her and what is to come. If there is anyone who can reinvent and breathe new life into the saga, that’s it.

Previously, Jenkins also spoke with the portal and revealed that the script for ‘Rogue Squadron’ is nearing completion.

“We are already well advanced and we have finalized the initial ideas, which is already very promising. It’s like we have a very close script. So yeah, we’ve been working on it for some time in secret. We are doing very good. I am very excited about the film and the story we are going to tell. ”

Despite this, she declined to reveal who is responsible for the storyline as she believes an appropriate announcement will be more appropriate.

“I want him to have his own ad so I can’t reveal who he is. I think it is more appropriate for all of us to wait until this is revealed. ”

Recalling that “ Rogue Squadron ” is set to debut in December 2023.
