Tyler Hoechlin first brought Superman to life in a few episodes of “Supergirl”, but ended up creating his own spinoff series, titled “Superman & Lois”.

Just as ‘Supergirl’ comes to an end, the spin-off could end at any time as well, but Hoechlin has no plans to hang up the cover anytime soon.

During an interview with Men’s Health, the star said he hopes to play the hero for a long, long time.

“I always say that I never imagined myself playing this iconic character, but I think maybe that’s why I’m able to bring him to life the way I do. It was a lot of fun and luckily it worked. I grew up with the idea of being Batman, but the surprise of playing Superman went hand in hand because I didn’t feel qualified for it, which made it easier to take on the role.

He continued:

“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to take on this challenge. The preparation isn’t as intense as in a movie, but I gave it my all for at least 10 months of filming and it was a pretty tough journey. I never imagined going this far, but now that I’ve arrived, I want to be Superman for a long, long time.

To the delight of fans and Hoechlin himself, he will play Superman in at least one more season of the attraction, with the CW having confirmed the renewal of new episodes.

Recalling that the network has released the official poster for “Last Sons of Krypton”, 15th and final episode of the current season.
