‘Tammy Faye’s Eyes’: Biography with Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield Gets New Start Date

The biopic “ Eyes of Tammy Faye, ” based on the eponymous documentary released in 2000, has been granted a new release date: September 24, 2021.

The news was revealed by Searchlight Pictures. The film is a fictional production that promises to provide an “intimate perspective on the extraordinary rise, fall and redemption of famous televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, which will be played by Jessica Chastain (‘IT: The Thing – Chapter 2‘).

Andrew Garfield plays Jim Bakker, Tammy’s husband, and is joined by a cast of Cherry Jones, Fredric Lehne, Mark Wystrach, Sam Jaeger, Gabriel Olds and Vincent D’Onofrio.

The film is directed by Michael Showalter (“Sick of Love”).

In the 1970s and 1980s, Tammy Faye and her husband Jim came out of humble roots to create the world’s largest television network and amusement park – revered for their messages of love, acceptance and prosperity. Tammy Faye has also become legendary for her indelible eyelashes, her peculiar song, and her need to kiss people everywhere.
