Paramount Pictures and Hasbro Studios are continuing their reboot of the “Transformers” franchise, which began with “Bumblebee,” and already has a protagonist in sight for the next film.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Tessa Thompson would play one of the project’s two main roles.
Steven Caple Jr. (‘Creed 2’) will direct.
Apparently the feature film will be a sequel to ‘Bumblebee’ (2018), with a script written by Joby Harold (‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’).
It has been said that the studio is only waiting for a director to continue with the project, but it was not revealed when the cameras are on.
The film currently has a working title of “ Transformers: Beast Alliance, ” which naturally suggests that it could bring elements of the beloved Beast Wars side of the Transformers universe. The movie is set in the 1990s when Beast Wars happened, so the links are definitely there.
As the project is in its initial phase, updates may be released in the coming months.
Recalling that Paramount will also expand the franchise with the derivative titled “ Beast Wars ”, which had a script written by James Vanderbilt (“ The Spectacular Spider-Man ”), but the project continues with no news.

Vanderbilt also wrote and produced “Mystery in the Mediterranean,” a Netflix project starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. His recent work also includes the acclaimed horror comedy “Ready or Not” and the series “Altered Carbon”.
Harold, in turn, oversaw ‘John Wick 3 – Parabellum’ and signed Zack Snyder’s new project, ‘Army of the Dead’ and rewrote the screenplay for ‘Kenobi’, the upcoming Disney + series inspired by the saga ‘ Star Wars’.
Launched in 2007, the “Transformers” film saga has always enjoyed considerable box office performance, despite severe negative reviews from most films. Led by Michael Bay, the first five chapters grossed more than $ 4.3 billion, while the spin-off ‘Bumblebee’, led by Travis Knight, got a 92% approval on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed nearly $ 469 million.
