‘The Batman’ will have more practical effects than CGI, reveals Jeffrey Wright

The first trailer for ‘The Batman’ caused quite a stir on the internet and only increased curiosity and expectations for the adaptation directed by Matt Reeves.

And it looks like the filmmaker is willing to use as little computer effects as possible in the production.

In an interview with Sirius XM Radio, Jeffrey Wright, an interpreter for Commissioner Gordon, said the director used practical effects instead of CGI.

“Reeves does all he can with practical effect. If I’m not mistaken, there isn’t even a computer-generated image in the trailer for “The Batman”. Everything was real. In fact, one of the scenes was recorded in March when we were last on set before the pandemic.

He went on to point out that the film will be a great investigative thriller:

“We are very amazed at what we are doing. When I read the script, I was already very excited about this plot I was investigating. Fans will see intense, dark suspense and find out why Batman is comics’ greatest detective. Gary Oldman once said that Batman and Gordon are like Sherlock and Watson, I couldn’t define this duo better.

According to Walter Hamada, the director of DC films, “The Batman” will be set in another Earth and not be part of the DCEU.

“In the multiverse, there is an Earth with the version of Justice League with Gal [Gadot], Jason [Momoa] and Ezra [Miller], and another with Pattinson’s Batman ”.
