‘The Chosen’: series about America’s first astronauts gets release date on Disney + Brazil

The new original series from National Geographic and Disney +, titled “ The Right Stuff, ” finally got a national release date.

According to the streaming platform, the works will open on February 5.

“The Chosen” is National Geographic’s first original work. Based on the eponymous non-fiction novel by Tom Wolfe, it revolves around seven of the best military pilots who became astronauts in the NASA space program during the height of the Cold War. Competing to be the first in space, these ordinary men achieve the extraordinary, inspiring the country to look to a new horizon of ambition and hope.

The series is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, with Mark Lafferty entering as showrunner.

The series consists of eight episodes and features Patrick J. Adams, Jake McDorman, Colin O’Donoghue, Michael Trotter, Aaron Staton, Micah Stock, James Lafferty, Nora Zehetner, Shannon Lucio, Eloise Mumford, Eric Ladin and Patrick Fischler.
