Ubisoft has just confirmed that Netflix will be responsible for the distribution of the film adaptation of the game Tom Clancy’s ‘The Division’.
Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Skyscraper: Courage Without Limit”) was hired to lead production after David Leitch (“Deadpool 2“) left due to scheduling conflicts.
Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal are the star.
After a devastating pandemic swept through New York City, basic services began to fail one by one, and without access to water or food, the city began to sink into chaos. As a last resort, a classified Unit of Tactical Support Officers, known as a Division, is activated. Leading a seemingly normal life among us, officers in this division are trained to work when everything around them fails, regardless of any command or leadership. When everything collapses, the Division’s mission begins.
The film still doesn’t have a set timeline for pre-production.
