‘The Flash’: fan art features Sasha Calle as Supergirl in upcoming adaptation

Last night, DC Comics fans were surprised when director Andy Muschietti announced that Sasha Calle (“ The Young and The Restless ”) had been cast for Supergirl in The Flash’s upcoming solo film.

The news broke standards by making the Colombian star the first Latina to bring the heroine to life, blonde in comics and animation.

Calle was chosen from over 400 applicants from countries such as the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.

Come to think of it, the artists at Boss Logic were quick to share some wonderful fan art imagining the star disguised as a Kryptonian.

It’s worth remembering that Ben Affleck will reprise his role as the Dark Knight in the feature film – the announcement of which has many fans wondering what prompted him to make the decision.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Barbara said that the star gave up on the character because he was going through a bad time, but that she is now ready to revive the DCEU Batman.

“There was a lot of speculation and things he said about having trouble playing Batman, and it was tough for him. I think he gave up because he was going through a tough time in his personal life. When we approached him, he seemed to be at a different time. He was very open to the idea [de reprisar o papel], which was a surprise to us. “We are all human and we go through difficult situations. I’m glad he’s now interested in returning, as Batman’s presence will be fundamental and exciting, while having a fun twist.

In the same interview, Andy explained what makes the Batman version of Affleck so important to the character’s legacy.

“Ben Affleck’s Batman has a dichotomy that’s very strong, which is his masculinity – because of his looks, the towering figure he has, and his jawline – but he’s also vulnerable. He needs a story that highlights this contrast, this balance.

It should be remembered that the feature made its debut. Instead of hitting theaters on July 1, 2022, the film will now be released on June 3, 2022.

The plot will show Barry Allen / The Flash (Ezra Miller) traveling through time to prevent the murder of his mother. However, when he returns to the present, his mother is still alive…. but the world is a nightmare. The Justice League never existed and Barry must do everything to correct all of its flaws.
