According to CBM, Michael Fassbender is in talks to star in the new crime thriller from David Fincher, director of “Se7en: The Seven Capital Crimes” and “Mindhunter.”

Entitled “The Killer”, the feature film also marks the new partnership between Fincher and screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker, who has collaborated with the director on “Se7en”, “Vidas em Jogo” and “Clube da Luta”.

Produced by Netflix, the plot is an adaptation of the French graphic novel written by Alexis Nolent and Luc Jacamon, and tells the story of a cold-blooded murderer who begins to feel guilty for the crimes he has committed, causing him to collapse emotionally.

The project was put on hold for over a decade and was originally developed by Paramount, but Netflix managed to acquire the image rights for the adaptation.

Still without a premiere date, the film will be shot from September this year.

With production in its early stages, updates are expected to be released in the coming months.
