“The Lord of the Rings”: the actor leaves the series even after having recorded a pilot episode; Understand!

Amazon’s TV series inspired by Amazon’s “ Lord of the Rings ” will undergo changes after actor Tom Budge (“ Crash – No Limit ”) drops production.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared a snippet of the song “ Ring of Fire ” and explained that he decided to step away from production due to creative differences with the streaming platform.

He told his followers that Amazon had decided to go the other way with the character he was playing, and he disagreed with the decision.

In part of the post, he argues:

“Hello, loves, it is with great sadness that I write to say that I have left the Lord of the Rings television series,” from Amazon. After recently seeing the first episodes filmed last year, Amazon decided to go the other way with the character I was playing … I have to thank the creative team for their encouragement to try something I was playing. thought to be new, exciting and beautiful. And I sincerely thank the amazing cast and crew for their love, support and friendship in what has been a very difficult and unusual experience. Unfortunately, some things just can’t be.

Additionally, it’s unclear if Amazon will reprogram another actor for him or if he will reshape the character.

Either way, this sudden change is sure to affect the progress of the shoot, potentially causing the premiere to be postponed.

The first two episodes will be directed by Juan Antonio Bayona (“Jurassic World: Realm Threatened”), who will also be the executive producer alongside Belén Atienza.

It should be remembered that the production has already been renewed for the 2nd season.

The screenplay is by JD Payne and Patrick McKay.

As of yet, more details have not been reported except that the series is slated to debut in mid-2021.

Tolkien’s novel trilogy was adapted for theaters between 2001 and 2003, winning 17 Oscar statuettes, including Best Director for Peter Jackson and Best Picture in 2004 for “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”. Later, the franchise also won a prequel trilogy called “ The Hobbit. ”
