‘The Mandalorian’: Hasbro cancels sale of Gina Carano character dolls

After Gina Carano was fired from “The Mandalorian” for posting offensive comments against Jews on her Twitter profile, Hasbro decided to cancel the sale of Cara Dune dolls.

The information was revealed by the Yak Face Forums, a respected website focused on reselling pop culture figurines.

By a statement, the directors announced that:

“In light of recent events surrounding Gina Carano’s dismissal as Cara Dune, we have learned that the planned reissues of the figurines for the Black Series and Vintage Collection labels have been canceled. Only the last shipments of the Retro Collection version will be sold as planned. “

The website also advises that the parts that will be sold only entered the deal because some were pre-purchased online.

Recalling that The Hollywood Reporter has published new information about behind the scenes of Lucasfilm productions in which the actress and veteran would participate.

Aside from not returning for future seasons of “The Mandalorian,” she was also cut from the lead role in an upcoming spinoff series.

A source linked to Disney + told the portal that studio executives did not announce the series on Disney Investor Day due to another controversy, when Carano denied the existence of the coronavirus and called in puppets to wear masks and social isolation.

The source also said studio executives are just waiting for a new slip to send her back.

“They were considering sacking her for about two months because of the terrible image she brought to Disney and Lucasfilm. I think they waited because they didn’t know how the fans were going to react, but it looks like it was the last straw, ”said the source, who declined to be identified.

Before the controversy against the Jews, she was ironic that there were no advocacy campaigns for conservatives like there are for blacks, gays and women.

Consult the resignation announcement:

“Gina Carano is no longer employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her in the future. Your social media posts insulting people because of their cultural and religious identity are disgusting, unacceptable, and not tolerated by our team. “

Remembering that Cara Dune made her first appearance in the episode “Sanctuary”, in the 1st season, and conquered a leading space in the series, becoming one of the main characters.

The second season of the series is already on display at Disney +.

Created by Jon Favreau (from the live-action ‘The Lion King’), the series is set in the same universe as the ‘Star Wars’ franchise.
