‘The Marvels’: Teyonah Parris opens up about Monica Rambeau’s return in ‘Captain Marvel’ sequel

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Teyonah Parris, who played Monica Rambeau on the ‘WandaVision’ series, opened up about her return to the Marvel Universe in the long-awaited ‘As Marvels’ sequel to ‘Captain Marvel’.

“From the start, they were very clear that the Disney + projects would be completely connected to the Marvel Universe. They didn’t even say my character would come back, but I knew I wasn’t going to be in a single project.

She adds, giving more details on how she was cast for the role: “I knew I was auditioning for Marvel, but I didn’t know the context. the scenes [do meu teste] were the one between Monica, being Geraldine, and Wanda after breaking her shares and when Monica comes back from the blip. Imagine if someone introduces you to these two scenes and claims to be the same character! I had no idea. I had to play a comedy and a drama.

Nia DaCosta, from ‘The Legend of Candyman’, is responsible for the production.

The cast will feature Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel / Kamala Khan) and Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau).

The theater debut takes place on November 11, 2022.

Filming is taking place in London and Los Angeles, with no end date announced yet.
