In general, martial arts films tend to be ignored or blown up by specialist critics due to the lack of script depth or the cast’s performance. However, the recent “ The Paper Tigers ” garnered 100% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, which caught the public’s attention.

Directed by Tran Quoc Bao, the film is an action comedy that follows three kung fu prodigies, Danny (Alain Uy), Hing (Ron Yuan) and Jim (Mykel Shannon Jenkins), who spend a few decades without practicing their talents. .

When their master dies under mysterious circumstances, they decide it’s time to show that they can still fight – except that almost 30 years without practicing hasn’t worked out very well for any of them.
